Author Guidelines
General Information
- Manuscripts submitted to HAKIKI: Jurnal Integrasi dan Studi Islam must be original works that have not been published in any other journal or publication medium, are not currently under consideration elsewhere, and will not be submitted to another publication during the review process unless they have been formally withdrawn from this journal. Authors are required to complete an Originality and Copyright Transfer Statement (Form A). The journal uses Turnitin Similarity Check to detect potential plagiarism.
- Submitted manuscripts must be based on research or community-related scholarly activities that comply with applicable research ethics and bioethical standards.
- The journal is published twice a year, in August and February.
Manuscript Preparation
- Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian using clear and appropriate academic language. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to use professional language-editing services before submission.
- Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Graphs should be created using Microsoft Excel, while figures should be saved in JPEG or PDF format.
- Manuscripts should use Cambria, 11 pt, with single spacing.
- Manuscripts should be approximately 9–15 pages in length on A4 paper, with margins of 2.5 cm at the top, 2.5 cm on the left, 2 cm on the right, and 2 cm at the bottom. The text should be justified and arranged in a single-column format, except for large tables or figures that require a different layout for readability.
- Manuscripts should contain the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and Suggestions, Acknowledgments, and References.
- The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
- Author names should be written below the title, followed by institutional affiliations and e-mail addresses.
- The abstract must be written in English and should include the objective, methods, and main findings of the study in a single paragraph.
- Authors are encouraged to follow relevant reporting guidelines, such as STROBE for observational studies, SRQR for qualitative studies, PRISMA for systematic reviews, CARE for case reports, and CONSORT for clinical trials.
- Authors should provide 3–5 keywords representing the main topics of the article.
- Citations and references must follow APA 7th edition style.
- References should preferably be drawn from scholarly sources published within the last six years.
- Manuscripts must be prepared using the official template of HAKIKI: Jurnal Integrasi dan Studi Islam.
Manuscript Submission Procedure
- Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format through the Open Journal System (OJS) after the author has created an account.
- The corresponding author must complete all metadata fields, including author names, affiliations, e-mail addresses, and short biographies.
- For manuscripts with more than one author, each author must be added using the “Add Author” feature during the metadata entry stage.
- All communication related to the manuscript, including editorial decisions and reviewer comments, will be sent to the e-mail address registered in the OJS.
- Authors can monitor the status of their manuscripts by logging into their journal OJS account.
- Questions regarding manuscript submission may be sent to the journal’s official e-mail address, and the manuscript template can be downloaded from the HAKIKI: Jurnal Integrasi dan Studi Islam website.
Submission Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements:
- The manuscript complies with the requirements stated in the Author Guidelines of HAKIKI: Jurnal Integrasi dan Studi Islam.
- The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been properly numbered and titled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photographs, datasets, and other materials included in the manuscript.
Submission Preparation Checklist

- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
